Hello Little Miss Attitude | Hip Kit Club

Hey Everyone!! Another super quick share from me today using the March kits from Hip Kit Club

I followed along with their weekly challenge within the Members Forum Facebook group. This week was a recipe challenge. The criteria was to create a layout using at least 4 of the following 6 "recipe" suggestions:

1. Two or more wood veneers
2. Stripes
3. Patterned Paper behind your photo
4. Some type of Mixed Media
5. One photo
6. Embellishment cluster

I'm really happy with what I've created and I think I've covered 4 of the 6 criteria: 2 veneer hearts, Blue arrow stripe paper, Pattern paper behind photos, and an embellishment cluster.

I started with a cut file from the February downloads and backed it with the exclusive paper designed by Kim Watson. Rather than machine stitching, I changed things up and stitched by hand. Once complete I raised the entire speech bubble up with some fun foam.

I really loved both sides of the blue arrow stripe paper. I tried so hard to make the starburst side work on a layout, but it was too busy to use with the speech bubble.

I mixed up the alphas from the kits, and added in another from my stash to finish off the title

And lastly I combined multiple die cuts, veneer and puffy stickers to create a cluster at the bottom of the page

Thanks for stopping by, more to share again soon!

Up, up & over | Hip Kit Club

Hey Everyone!
I thought I would do a quick share today of a layout made with the March Hip Kits.
I made this for a recent Sketch challenge within their Members forum Facebook group

Heres a look at the sketch

And this is what I came up with. LOVE how bright and cheerful these colours are!

I really loved the colours of these kits, and all the fun embellishments. I chose a cut file from last year and backed it with one of the exclusive papers designed by Kim Watson. So awesome!

Heres some close ups

Im having so much fun creating Just for Fun layouts!
I hope you like them too!

Hip Kit Club layouts share

APOLOGIES FOR NO CONTENT HERE!!
ALL 3 Layout have been accepted for PUBLISHING!!

Hey Everyone!
Its been quite a few days between posts.. But I'm slowly catching up on sharing layouts. Today's share is a handful of layouts made with past kits from the Hip Kit Club. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you may have already seen these

First up is Sweet New Kicks using the December 2015 Kits
I made this page for a previous Challenge in the Hip Kits Member Forum on Facebook. I love that little community! So much sharing and inspiration with so many talented Scrappers!

Next up is Hello Covergirl
Made with more of the December Kit goodness and as part of my DT Call application.
I realised after making it, that there are quite a few similarities between this and Sweet New Kicks, however I love this style of page, and it flows so easily when creating!

And lastly a fun page using the kits from February
Dressing Up
Loved the cut apart paper from Pink Paislee, and just had to try this out. I think it turned out awesome!

Thats all from me today. Be sure to check back over the next few days for more scrappy fun!
But for now, Happy Scrapping!

Big Kinder Girl | D-lish Scraps

Hi Fellow Scrappers
I'm back today with my second and last layout share for D-lish Scraps this month.

This layout documents Leila's first day of Kinder (take 2)
Early in 2015 we made the decision to keep her at Kinder for a second year, and its been the best decision ever! She definitely wasn't ready to go to school this year, but has settled back in to the kinder routine so much better than last year!

The colours of the page are inspired by the colours on her lunch bag. She's obsessed with Shopkins!

I started with some 6x6 papers from my stash and layered them with some wide punchinella, vellum and a favourite doily. Using doilies on almost every page is a bad habit that I just can't break lol

The top scattered cluster of embellishments is made up of a paper flowerminifetti word strip, enamel dots, a coloured wood buttonplain shaped button (altered with some glitter paste - another obsession) and a layered butterfly from my stash.

Im going to need to get more of these Dusty Attic alpha's, they're a perfect size for larger titles. More glitter paste!!! The arrow journal it is part of a pack that is currently sold out

Another scattered cluster made up of a much loved sequin bowpaper flowerenamel shape and some more wooden buttons, one with a touch of sparkle.

Lastly I typed my journalling in strips on my old school type writer, (which i really should get fixed and a new ribbon of ink) and finished off my last cluster with a coloured doilyjournal itwordfetti strips, D-lish flairpaper flowerenamel shapes and yet another wooden button with more glitter paste!

Thanks so much for stopping by the last 2 days
Be sure to check the D-lish blog again soon for more inspiring work from the other team members

5 year old faves | D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone!
Can you believe we are already 1/4 through the year already! Time seriously needs to slow down

Today I'm sharing my first layout of the month for D-lish Scraps. This one is inspired by the newest inspiration board. Isn't it beautiful!

I had other ideas on how I wanted to interpret this board, but my mind kept changing and this is what I came up with

I've been wanting to document all of Leila's current favourites in some way for months now, just didn't know how to best. Since falling in love with my old school typewriter (even though its broken and the ink is drying up) I thought a scattered typed list of things would be the way to go.
Diagonal lines of embellishments and 'journalling' seems to be one of my go to techniques lately, so I'm really happy with how this turned out.

I couldn't resist adding extra sparkle to these Dusty Attic chipboard alpha's with some Bo Bunny glitter paste, another technique I repeat often as who doesn't love a touch of sparkle on some simple alphas!

I kept the clusters pretty simple with some paper flowersflair buttonsenamel shapeswordfetti strip and a strawberry & star wood buttons and small paper doilies

Other items from the shop that Ive used are my FAVOURITE white lace doily, a printed doily tag, a paper butterfly and a strip of a pattern paper bag

Thanks so much for stopping by today
Be sure to check back tomorrow for my second share for the month
